King's Church has been around in Loughborough for over 25 years. We began as an offshoot of Leicester Christian Fellowship, and originally met in homes before buying a property which tragically burned to the ground some years later! In the early 1990s we purchased the Schofield Centre, a former engineering college named after its founder, Herbert Schofield, the visionary who began what is now Loughborough's world-class university. As well as hosting the church offices and our Sunday meetings, the Schofield Centre (or the Skofe to the rest of us!) is also home to the Small World Nursery and TwentyTwenty, a pioneering youth charity. Very few members of King's Church have been around since the beginning. Many people are local, while others came to Loughborough to study and ended up staying!
